Princess Eugenie visits the Solent Seascape Project

Princess Eugenie invited HELLO! to join her at the Solent Seascape Project

For two years, Princess Eugenie has been an ambassador for Blue Marine Foundation, one of the partners involved in the Solent Seascape Project. Last week she visited the project, helping marine scientists in the lab at the University of Portsmouth to clean hundreds of oysters before returning them to the reef.

“When I heard about Seascape, it blew me away,” she told HELLO!. “I couldn’t wait to come down, and seeing it first-hand is pretty cool. It’s amazing to watch these people dedicate their time to the biodiversity of our seas, and I want to do as much as I can to help, too.”

Princess Eugenie explained how motherhood has changed how she feels about the future. She said that becoming a mother heightened her awareness of the need to protect the planet for future generations.
