Join Ian Creasey and Tracé Cooper-Williams for our second talk in the Solent Seascape Project winter online talk series.
Hurst Spit with it vegetated shingle is an ideal spot for nesting birds to try to fledge their young. However, it is also a popular spot for visitors, so this year a project was launched by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust to reset the odds. The area is also important for winter migratory birds to rest and feed within areas of nationally important saltmarsh and reed beds. Come and hear the story of how the birds and their precious habitats are being protected by the Trust and its team of passionate volunteers.
